The Austrian Board for Alpine Safety (ÖKAS) publishes the alpine accident figures in Austria’s mountains and adjacent areas twice a year in its professional journal analyse:berg. Selected alpine accidents are analysed and examined from various perspectives, from which valuable recommendations for greater alpine safety can be derived. The detailed analyses and reports, including background information, are structured by season into a winter and summer issue, as well as by individual mountain sports disciplines.
